Congratulations to Casey Devlin, the recipient of our Marilyn Swete Memorial Scholarship for Outstanding Teen Volunteer of the Year!

The Volunteer Center presents this $1000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior who has exhibited outstanding volunteer spirit throughout their high school years.  Casey has spent hundreds of hours volunteering at school, her church and at Crouse Hospital.

She has this to say about volunteering: "I feel blessed that my parents taught me that volunteering was important so early in life... I don't see it (volunteering) as a chore, but as an opportunity to have new experiences."

Casey will be attending Marquette University in the Fall.
